Plumm - WHITE.png

Plumm was developed in 2009 in Melbourne - Australia with consultation among some of the world’s leading winemakers, sommeliers, wine judges and writers. Led by an innovative team of people just as passionate about wine glasses as they are about wine. The stemware is produced in Northern Europe using lead free crystal.

During these conversations it became apparent that there was a shift away from varietal specific wine glasses and it was more a focus on less being more. It is for this reason, Plumm wine stemware focus on a core range of 5 wine glass styles to help amplify your wine experience.

This range is known as Red A, Red B, White A, White B and Sparkling.

"Red A" is designed for fuller bodied red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. "Red B" is designed for light to medium bodied red wines like Pinot Noir or Nebbiolo, we also love to experience Champagne in this style of glass!

"White A" is best used for fresh, dry and crisp white wines like Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling, whilst "White B" is best for richer and fuller bodied styles of white wines like Chardonnay or Viognier where the influence of oak in the wine making process helps to open up the wine in the glass.

The "Sparkling" wine glass is perfect for celebrating using sparkling wines and Champagnes.

The wine glasses can be experienced in three different styles - Handmade, Vintage and Outdoors.

"Handmade" refers to the fact that each piece is an individually mouth blown piece of ultra-fine lead free European crystal, furthermore each stem is hand pulled which allows each stem to be a one piece construction

The "Vintage" range of stemware are machine made and like the Handmade range these are also a single piece construction which also features a range of Stemless glasses to further compliment this offering.

The "Outdoor" range of stemware is made from an unbreakable poly-carbonate material, whether you're at the pool or on the beach or even at a picnic in the park we think this range is the perfect and practical alternative to a crystal stem. We also think this range is quintessential for a hotel or resort Pool Bar, Beach Club and especially handy on the Golf Course - we recommend the "Stemless White+ or Red+ (Tip: These will fit perfectly into your Golf Cart's cup holder)!

As the Plumm brand continued to evolve, a select group of Australia's best and brightest sommeliers were asked a series of questions about the evolution and the role of the wine glass. Their answers led to the latest addition to the Plumm stemware range - The Somm Series. The Somm series consists of three wine glasses and further narrows down the specific styles of glassware required to not only improve efficiency during service but also heightening the guest experience.

No.1 - is a universal glass, the glass that can do everything.

No. 2 - the white wine glass. For everything from Champagne and Prosecco to fresh crisp dry white wines.

No. 3 - the Pinot / Chardonnay glass. This glass is for the lighter style red wines and the textural white wines. We also love this wine glass for Champagne.
