Skillogalee LOGOWHITE.png

Skillogalee was founded in 1970 in the South Australian wine growing region of Clare Valley, which can be found about 2 hours North of the city of Adelaide, with the first wines produced from the 1976 vintage.

In 1989, after learning that the winery was on the market and taking a chance, husband and wife Dave and Di Palmer acquired the Skillogalee property from owners the George family. Since then both Dave and Di have grown the Skillogalee name into not only a world class wine producer but also placed the Clare Valley on the map in terms of culinary destination with their restaurant that is attached to the cellar door. Further enhancements to really make Skillogalee a destination have included the addition of several self contained cottages, which really allow visitors and wine lovers alike to be able to not only indulge in the hidden gems being produced by Skillogalee but also enjoy them in a scenic and serene environment.

The Skillogalee vineyards covers approximately 125 acres / 316 rai planted to varietals including Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Muscat, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Malbec and Shiraz.

The Skillogalee vineyard is situated approximately 500 metres above sea level, making it virtually a cool climate growing region, producing wines of wonderful acidity, perfume and grace.
