Longview Vineyards began producing wines in 1995. In 2006 the Saturno family, with brothers Mark and Peter at the helm, took over the over 60 hectare / 370 rai vineyard and have since then set about firmly establishing Longview as one of South Australia's destination wineries.

Set in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, approximately 50 minutes North East of the city of Australia's wine capital - Adelaide. Longview Vineyard is a destination winery that features not only one of the regions most picturesque vistas but is also home to boutique accommodation, so you can enjoy the long view a little longer.

With the Saturno family heritage, northern Italian varietals such as Pinot Grigio, Nebbiolo and more recently Barbera feature prominently and arguably more importantly than the regional heroes of the Adelaide Hills such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz. In addition to this Longview is probably producing the regions most awarded pink wine - Juno, a Nebbiolo Rosato.

2010 saw the Austrian varietal Grüner Veltliner being planted at the vineyard, making Longview Vineyard one of the pioneers of this otherwise alternative varietal in Australia.

Each year Longview hosts a series of street Artists who each produce a work of art, with the winning artwork set to feature on the following vintage of the winery's most prestigious wine, "The Piece" Shiraz. This wine event is a must for anyone who is interested in both street art and wine.

In our opinion, this is an excellent starting point for any wine lover looking to increase their awareness for and appreciation of Australian wine.
